Women wear many hats in their lives. Daughter, sister, student, breadwinner. But no matter where we are or what we’re doing, one hat that moms never take off is the crown of motherhood. There is no crown more glorious.
- Ann Romney
Mothers wear many hats in their day-to-day life. But of all the hats that she wears, "mom" is still the best. As a mompreneur myself running two businesses and juggling two children all while being a SAHM, it took me this long to get to this stage in motherhood where I came to a self-realization that I wasn't just working hard to pay the bills, or to feed the kids but instead, I was doing it for me and my goals. I realized I could still be a mom and pursue my dreams. It was a struggle to get here and to realize that I could not pour from an empty cup and that meant looking beyond just self-care for mothers.
I read a quote that I wanted to share - If your goal in life is to be an amazing mother, then do it. If you have more goals than that, do those, too.
But enough about me! Because what an honour it was to work and shoot with multi-talented mummy, Nur Fudge, for our recent shoot! Fudge is a fellow mompreneur of a label, By Nur Fudge, a makeup artist as well as a real estate agent. Fudge shares with us about life as a working mom and her breastfeeding journey!
1. Hello! Tell us a little bit about yourself and your little family :)
I’m a working mother of 2 boys, ages 6 & 1! My job has flexible working hours, so I try to spend my day with my kids as much as I can. It’s a constant mom guilt each time I leave for work, but I do it all for them :)
2. You are truly a super mom juggling multiple roles! Do you mind sharing with us how long have you been breastfeeding and how you manage your pumping/feeding schedule?
I breastfed my firstborn for 2.5 years & am currently still breastfeeding for 1 year & counting already. I tried pumping but it didn’t work for me and my baby so I stopped, & also because since I’m mostly at home, I direct latch them. It’s on-demand, with no exact schedules.

3. Any words of encouragement and advice for new mothers who are also breastfeeding and returning back to work?
You do you! Take it easy, set your intentions right, plan your schedules right… breastfeeding will be an enjoyable journey with your child that you can never get back when they are grown up. This journey will forever have a special place in our hearts.
4. One word to describe motherhood?
